Don Smith
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Don Smith, 80, of Eldorado passed away suddenly at his residence on Oct. 24, 2008.
Don was born Oct. 8, 1928, in Gallatin County to the late Bill and Frances Smith. On April 6, 1948, he married the former Wilma M. Long, who survives.
He was a retired farmer and boiler maker.
Also surviving is a son, Darrel and wife Judy Smith; daughters, Rita and Ron Hurley, and Judy Goolsby, all of Eldorado; stepdaughter, Mary and Don Tyler of Gary, Ind.; grandchildren, Roger and Angie Wring, Shane and Jennifer Wring, Joshua and Jamie McClusky, Donny and Christy Boulds, Jeremy and Malissa Smith-Dunn, and Dylan Hurley all of Eldorado; and seven great-grandchildren. Other survivors are a brother, Leonard and Dorothy Smith of East Alton; sister, Tilda and Darrell Vinson; sisters-in-law, Aline (Don) Dillard of Dresden, Tenn. and Faye Smith of Harrisburg; sons-in-law, Robert Wring and Kevin Boulds; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Roger Dale and Donald Ray; a grandchild, Brian; and brothers, Ralph, Floyd and James Robert Smith.
Funeral services will be held at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, with visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2008. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado with Rev. Bill Jones officiating.
