Robert Thomas 'Bob' Mills

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Robert Thomas "Bob" Mills, 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Sanford, N.C., on Monday, Oct. 13, 2008.

He was born Sept. 29, 1925, in Eldorado, son of the late Sue Emma and William Arnold Mills, grandson of Tom and Sarah Frances Mills and nephew of Kenneth and Russell Mills.

The family later moved to Detroit, Mich. During World War II, Bob served as a Navy pilot. After the war, he married his wife of 61 years, Marian, and raised three children. He worked for 36 years for General Motors as an engineer for Chevrolet. After retirement, he moved to Sanford, N.C.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; and their three children, Sondra L. Mills, Robert T. Mills Jr. and Nancy Mills Shoemaker; and four grandchildren.
