Guylia D. Partridge

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Guylia D. Partridge, 92, of Wellman, Iowa, formerly of Nevada, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, while visiting her son, Dr. Elliott O. Partridge, and daughter-in-law Darla and family in Eldorado. The celebration of her life and interment was held in Iowa on Oct. 13, 2008.

Guylia was born Jan. 26, 1916, at Rhodes, Iowa, to Guy and Roena Elliott. She was baptized into Christ in 1932 and graduated in 1933 from Collins, Iowa, High School. She was a lifelong homemaker and farm wife and owned and operated a local Collins restaurant for a while.

She was married to Norman E. Partridge on Sept. 11, 1935. He preceded her in death in 1986. A brother, Ober Elliott; a son, David Partridge; as well as her parents are also gone.

She is survived by her children, D.G. (Rosemary) Partridge of Wall Lake, Iowa, Dr. Elliott O. (Darla) Partridge of Eldorado and Cheryle (Rex) Link of Wellman, Iowa. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and her sisters, Nelda Kriegel and Anoka (Jack) Stratton of Collins, Iowa.

Guylia was a wonderfully loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, known affectionately as "Me-Me" to her grandchildren and many others. She always had a smile for everyone. She was devoted to her family and church.
