Duane McClusky

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Duane McClusky, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, in Saline Care Center.

He was born April 24, 1920, in Harrisburg to the late Horace and Flora (Locklar) McClusky. On July 27, 1941, he married Myrtle Thompson and she preceded him in death on May 22, 2007.

Duane was a retired miner for Sahara Coal, a World War II Army veteran and a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son, Wendell McClusky, Harrisburg; son, Curt and wife Nancy McClusky of Sacramento, Calif.; a daughter, Cathy and husband Ron Emery of Harrisburg; and a daughter, Lynette McClusky of Newburgh, Ind.; grandchildren, Curtis and wife Gina McClusky, Wendy McClusky, Kris and wife Christy McClusky, Laura and husband Noah Brown, Kevin McClusky, Scott McClusky, Blaire and husband Ryne Hunt, Blake and wife Stacy Emery, Brynne and husband Justin Settle and Rachel Slevin. Seven great-grandchildren also survive.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at Reed Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, at Reed Funeral Chapel. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Dorrisville Baptist Church Building Fund, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
