Loyd E. 'Alf' Thompson

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Loyd E. "Alf" Thompson, 68, of McLeansboro, died 12:20 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, at Ferrell Hospital, Eldorado.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, at the funeral home.

He is survived by two daughters, a stepson, a son-in-law, a stepdaughter, two brothers, three grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren and one great-stepgrandchild.
