Margaret Elizabeth Humm

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Margaret Elizabeth Humm, 88, of Paducah, Ky., formerly of Harrisburg, died 8:41 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at Lourdes Hospital, Paducah, Ky.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg with Father Ignatius Okonkwo officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at the Gaskins-Jones Funeral Home, Harrisburg, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

She was born Jan. 14, 1920, in Hardin County to Nicholas and Opal (Reiner) Hamp. On Nov. 21, 1939, she married Louis Humm, who preceded her in death on April 16, 1994.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg and the St. Mary Catholic Church Altar Society.

She is survived by a son, William (Rose Marie) Humm of Paducah, Ky.; two daughters, Margie Neal of Linn Creek, Mo., and Carolyn (Mark) Trentlage of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Hauptmann of Gary, Ind., and Floranell Powell of Las Vegas, Nev.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Chancey; and two brothers, Charles and Louis Hamp.
