Lucy M. Morse

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lucy M. Morse, 80, of Harrisburg passed away 10:16 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

She was born June 29, 1928, in Perth, W. Australia, the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Goodman Ford. She met Earl W. "Gar" Morse during World War II and they were married on Sept. 15, 1945, in Perth, W. Australia.

She came to the United States in 1946. Lucy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg where she was the church secretary for 32 years. She loved her family.

She is survived by three children, Sandra "Randy" Cushist, Karen Morse and Greg Morse, all of Harrisburg; two sisters, Lil Garratt and Eileen Cecconi, both of Australia; two granddaughters, Tracy Morse and Tara Cushist; and two great-grandchildren, Brett Morse and Brittany Morse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. "Gar" Morse; parents; one brother, Richard Ford; and three sisters, Judy Miller, Chris Strange and Vi Blackburn.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at the First Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg with the Rev. Judy Beyler officiating. The family will receive friends after 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. The J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
