Mildred K. Rector

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mildred K. Rector, 74, of Broughton, died 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. David Angelly officiating. Burial will be in Gholson Cemetery near Broughton. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.

She was born May 7, 1934, in Crossville, Tenn., to the late Arthur and Macie (Chaffin) Richardson. On June 23, 1951, she married Avery Rector, who preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith.

She is survived by three sons, Roy Kenneth (Carole) Rector Sr. of Broughton, David (fiancee Linda) Rector of Eldorado and Bobby (Robbie) Rector of Rosiclare; a daughter, Darlene (Kenneth) Parsons of Broughton; several brothers and sisters, Palmer Richardson of Benton, Amos Richardson of Stonefort, Ann Cantrell of Galatia, Alvie Jean Bartley of Omaha and Sarah Lou Thomason of Mayfield, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by several children, Avery Daniel, Gary and Thomas Ray Rector; three brothers, Henry, Dewey and Roy Richardson; a sister, Joyce Davis; two grandchildren, Robert and Christopher Parsons; and a great-grandchild, Avirill Rose.
