</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Marjorie Bainbridge, 87, of Stonefort, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Ind.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Gordon Smith officiating. Burial will be in be in Bolton-Trammell Cemetery, Stonefort. Visitation is 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
She was born on May 2, 1921, in Stonefort to the late Escue and Emma (Grace) Boyd. She married Harold "Pete" Bainbridge on Jan. 25, 1941, and he preceded her in death.
She was a lifelong member of the Stonefort Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the church organist for over 30 years. She was also an accomplished writer and poet.
She is survived by two daughters, Sheryl Case and Jill Bainbridge, both of Stonefort; four granddaughters, Tracy (Alan) Lambert of Harrisburg, Garyn (Bob) Suttner of Memphis, Tenn., Kristin (Kelly) Phelps of Harrisburg and Shea Cooley of Eldorado; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler and Collin Lambert, Sohn and Sabryn Suttner, Kennedy and Kole Phelps, Dakota and Dawson Metten and Drayson Grathler; a brother, Robert (Sue) Boyd of South Chicago Heights; nieces, Angie Lay of Stonefort, Rene (David) Bomonti of Chicago Heights and Holly (Michael) Skowronski of Naperville; a nephew, Steven (Kathy) Lay of Ozark; and a special friend and caregiver, Lorie McKnight.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Carol Collins Cooley; a sister, Midge Lay; and a brother, Lloyd Boyd.
