Lloyd Jones

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lloyd Jones, 72, of Harrisburg passed away 9:15 a.m. Friday, July 4, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 14, 1935, in Murphysboro, the son of the late Ernest and Beulah Alhs. He was married to the former Lucille Keith, who survives.

Lloyd was a mechanic and loved to fish. He was an Army veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Vince and Katrinka Stevers and Lloyd and Angela Jones, both of Harrisburg; one sister, Rose Lambert of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren, Kendra and Kenny Hatton, Valerie and Pat McDonald, Makaylynn Stevers, Trevor Stevers, Shiloh Stevers, Tiffany and James Watson, Holly and John Snyder and Justin Jones; and six great-grandchildren, Logan Rae Hatton, Christian McDonald, Nevaeh McDonald, P.J. Watson, Angel Watson and Libby Snyder.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Richard Jones; and one sister, Beverly Pounders.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at the Gaskins-Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor and the Rev. Sean Ryan officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at the funeral home.
