E. Marie Plunkett

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[E. Marie Plunkett, 91, of Vernon Hills, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2008, at the Alden Healthcare Center in Long Grove.

She was born June 7, 1917, in Eldorado, the daughter of Luke Ratley and Mae (Fletcher) Ratley, and was a former resident of Hammond, Ind. She retired to Gasville, Ark., in 1973 for 17 years and has lived in the Libertyville area for the past 14 years.

She was a member of the Crossroads Church in Grayslake and was a former private-duty nurse in the Hammond area. Marie was a former senior center volunteer of the year and a member of the Kitchen Klagers Band at the Libertyville Civic Center.

Surviving are her son, Larry (Naomi) Plunkett of Vernon Hills; three grandchildren, Dawn (Bob) Dickinson, Laura (Carl) Bjerga and David (Diane) Plunkett; six great-grandchildren, Kyle and Lindsay Bjerga, Jordan and Shane Dickinson and Andrew and Lukas Plunkett; a brother, Luke (Georgia) Ratley Jr. of Hammond, Ind.; and a sister, Oberline (Wilford) Noels of Carmi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Plunkett in 1993; and by her sister, Rosalie.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008, at Wolf Creek Cemetery with Dennis Robison officiating. Visitation is 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Watson Funeral Home, Eldorado.
