Looking Up: Easter crosses in the night sky
Full moon occurred Good Friday, March 21. This coming week, the moon will rise later and later, giving a widening window of dark skies in the evening to see fainter stars. Be sure to look for the constellation Lepus the Hare -- which we will consider the Easter Bunny! This is a rather dim constellation, immediately below the bright stars of Orion. Lepus and Orion are situated in the southwest in early evening during the last week of March.
