Jury spares Cutts' life

The way Bobby L. Cutts Jr. explained the death of Jessie M. Davis seemed too convenient, and more than a little unbelievable, to the jurors who heard his tearful testimony.

If he told the truth, then the former city police officer's words led a jury to convict him of aggravated murder and other charges.
