Missouri Senate president pro tem promotes property assessment tax reform in stop at Lake of the Ozarks

The president pro tem of the state Senate says lake-area residents are facing the same dilemma as other Missourians as property assessments continue to climb while the majority of taxing entities who benefit do little or nothing to ease the strain on overburdened taxpayers.

Property taxes was one of several topics Sen. Michael Gibbons, R-Kirkwood, discussed Thursday while visiting Lake of the Ozarks.
