STORY KILL: Medicaid Payments to Schools

<font size="2">MEDICAID PAYMENTS TO SCHOOLS: Schools across the country are expected to see reimbursements for certain services to Medicaid-eligible students cut at the end of June. For District 150, that translates into about $1 million. Will check with other districts to see how much and what kind of effects it will have. The costs are to ensure Medicaid is not paying for expenses that should be born by other agencies, or inappropriate for a healthcare program while also saving an estimated $3.6 billion over five years.
