McCain takes New Hampshire Republican primary
Arizona Sen. John McCain swept New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primary Tuesday, with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, now twice humbled in the Republican presidential sweepstakes, vowing to remain competitive.
With 24 percent of precincts reporting, McCain received 37 percent of the vote, with 29 percent for Romney. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee received 12 percent, and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani received 9 percent. Eight percent went to Congressman Ron Paul, and 1 percent for former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson.
