Boston critics salute 'No Country'
The Boston Society of Film Critics met earlier this week to vote and argue and eat donuts before doling out 2007 film awards. Many of the choices will likely be mirrored by Oscar voters (Best Picture: "No Country for Old Men"), but a couple of them reveal the quirky side of the BSFC (Best Screenplay: Brad Bird for "Ratatouille").
Best Picture: "No Country for Old Men"
Best Director: Julian Schnabel ("The Diving Bell and the Butterfly")
Best Actor: Frank Langella ("Starting out in the Evening").
Best Actress: Marion Cotillard ("La vie en rose")
Best Supporting Actor: Javier Bardem ("No Country for Old Men")
Best Supporting Actress: Amy Ryan ("Gone Baby Gone")
Best Foreign Language Picture: "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly"
Best Screenplay: Brad Bird ("Ratatouille")
Best Cinematography: Janusz Kaminski ("The Diving Bell and the Butterfly")
Best Documentary: "Crazy Love"
Best Ensemble: "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead")
