Wachusett Brewing Company changing with the times

If they hadn't enjoyed all that beer in college, maybe this great idea wouldn't have been born.

But luckily, in the dorms of Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the late 1980s, a bond between three young men, their beer and their engineering textbooks was formed. A few years later, that bond caused Wachusett Brewing Company to be born.

Fast forward to 2007, and you see the three founders of the Wachusett Brewing Company, on State Road East in Westminster, still holding the reins to their dream.

In 1994, Ned LaFortune, Peter Quinn and Kevin Buckler, just a few years out of W.P.I. where they earned their engineering degrees, decided to take their love for beer and their mechanical know-how to the next level.

While working jobs in the engineering and science industries, the three started to sample a wider range imported beers and brew their own beer. They also began to visit craft breweries throughout New England - enjoying all nature had to offer along the way.
