One person dead in triple shooting in West Utica

One person is dead after three people were shot late this morning at 942-944 Stark St. in West Utica, officials said.

The shootings occurred in the second-floor apartment at 944 Stark St., officials said. One victim died at the scene. The other two are being treated at an area hospital.

The Oneida County Coroner's Officer confirmed the death.

City police and representatives from the District Attorney's Office are on the scene of the shooting that happened shortly after 11 this morning, Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara said.

First Assistant District Attorney Mike Coluzza and Investigator Dan Sullivan are on the scene, McNamara said.
