Former Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan slipped into town Monday behind the tinted windows of his silver Ferrari. Before he left, Jordan's afternoon stop for an interview session with son Jeff, Illinois coach Bruce Weber and NBC's "The Today Show" host Matt Lauer turned into a promotional piece for Illini basketball.

The feature about MJ and his son, an Illini freshman walk-on guard, will air sometime before the college basketball season begins in early November. The network indicated it would inform the athletic department when the piece is set for broadcast.
