Woodhull boy dies in wagon accident

A 12-year-old Woodhull boy was killed in a wagon accident Saturday afternoon.

Emanuel D. Yoder fell from the horse-drawn wagon he was driving and was run over, Painted Post State Troopers said.

His brothers, ages 10 and 4, jumped from the back of the runaway wagon and found their brother unresponsive on the pasture trail, police said.

Yoder was run over by the horses a second time as they ran back down the trail, police said.

He suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Steuben County Coroner Al Lewis.

Yoder's body was taken to the Monroe County Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Woodhull and Jasper fire departments.
