Wegmans recalls sandwich rolls

Wegmans Food Markets has issued a voluntary recall of its Foods You Feel Good About Country Wheat 6 sandwich rolls.

The recall affects rolls with a best-if-used-by date of Oct. 10. This product is being recalled

because the package may actually contain potato rolls, which include a milk allergen not declared on the label, according to a news release from Wegmans issued this afternoon. The bread was produced Oct. 1, and would have been available in Wegmans stores Oct. 2 to Oct. 3.

The product from those dates has been pulled from store shelves.

No illnesses have been reported, and the recall is of concern only to those individuals who have allergies to milk. Concerned customers should return the product to Wegmans for a refund.
