ATF offers $5K for info on assault weapon stolen from patrol car
The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a $5,000 reward to generate information that leads to the apprehension and arrest of the person or people responsible for the theft of an assault weapon from a Missouri Water Patrol vehicle earlier this week.
The ATF agent working on the investigation could not be reached for comment. It is standard procedure for the agency to get involved with the theft of an automatic weapon.
