Swimming in a red sea: Cranberry Harvest Celebration
<font size="2">A.D. Makepeace will host its annual Cranberry Harvest Celebration this weekend with plenty of fun, family-friendly activities. The two-day festival, held Oct. 6 and 7, will also feature musicians, a juried crafts fair and tours of the bogs.</font>

"It's really a celebration of everything that's autumn in New England," Linda Burke, director of marketing and communications for A.D. Makepeace, said. "It's not just about cranberries, although they are the star of the show." </font>

The cranberry harvest marks an important turn in the seasons in Southeastern Massachusetts, and celebrations like the Cranberry Harvest Celebration offer a chance for people to get a glimpse inside of this important industry. Working with the Cape Cod Cranberry Grower's Association and Ocean Spray, visitors will have a few ways to see working cranberry bogs.</font>
