Indians notebook: Marte back on the team, but …

Andy Marte has learned the importance of playing with a sense of urgency.

The 23-year-old third baseman was one of three players called up from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, joining left-hander Juan Lara and right-hander Edward Mujica. Marte broke camp as Cleveland's starting third baseman, but he suffered a strained left hamstring in late April. He was activated from the disabled list May 19, then optioned to Buffalo nine days later and never asked back.
