Illini's Brent ready to let his hair down

Like Illinois sophomore tight end Michael Hoomanwanui, freshman defensive end Josh Brent joined the Illinois football program after graduating from Bloomington Central Catholic, where there are strict rules for dress and appearance.

Once at Illinois, Brent let his hair grown, just as Hoomanawanui did a year ago in part to enjoy his Hawaiian heritage. But Brent's wild, curly hairstyle has nothing to do with Hawaii.
