Driver charged with failure to report injury of cat

After Hopedale police pulled over a Milford resident on suspicion of drunken driving early yesterday morning, they found an injured passenger in the car -- a tiny, three-month old domestic shorthair cat.

The driver, Michael Caruso, 18, of 42 West St., had allegedly hit the kitten on Hartford Avenue in Mendon, according to police.
