Sentimentality took a back seat to reality Wednesday.

The White Sox remember everything Jose Contreras did for them during the 2005 World Series run and how he was arguably the most dominating pitcher in baseball during the first half last year. But that couldn't overshadow his current seven-game losing streak or 10.38 ERA over that stretch.
