Big Ten Network already having problems?

The price is negotiable. But when it comes to the Big Ten Network's stance that it should be placed on expanded basic cable television packages within the eight-state region that's home to the 11 conference schools, the Big Ten won't budge in conversations with cable and satellite providers.

"Everything is negotiable other than the expanded basic (coverage) within the eight states,'' said Big Ten Network president Mark Silverman Tuesday during the first of two Big Ten media days that unofficially start the Big Ten football season.
