Cubs notebook: Big Z wants to remain a Cub

While Barry Zito, the San Francisco left-handed pitcher who signed a seven-year, $126 million deal during the offseason, participated in a pregame practice late Monday afternoon at Wrigley Field, a guy who could command an even bigger deal was sitting at his locker in the Cubs clubhouse.

And he was predicting he would stay in that clubhouse a long time.
