Harrisburg Police investigated a report of a vehicle burglary early this morning and arrested a man on burglary, theft and drug charges.

Police arrested Kevin Wayne Mattingly, 33, 922 S. Washington St., Harrisburg, 2:45 a.m. today on charges of burglary, theft and possession of a controlled substance.

A woman reported seeing a man later identified as Mattingly inside her truck parked on the 300 block of South Main Street, Chief Bob Smith said.

Officers Tom Leverett and Zach Popetz arrived and spotted a man matching Mattingly's description with a pair of tan gloves, Smith said.

The caller identified the gloves as hers and officers found a metal box in Mattingly's pocket containing what appeared to be Clonopin and Xanax, two controlled substances, Smith said.
