"It was an up-and-down week for us," Bulldogs coach Eric Gregg said. "We wanted to officiate the game on Thursday, and while we were arguing a no-call, Mount Carmel scored the winning goal on us.

"Marvin Speh scored a great header and we just couldn't hold it or find the back of the goal.

"Saturday was much better. After playing to a 1-1 tie at halftime, we put three great shots in the back of the net," Gregg added.

Harrisburg got goals from Speh, Cody Wright, Derek Boyke and Brett Winters.

"Dustin Hawkins, Ferrell Jones, Cody Shires, Mason Motsinger and Drake Miller did a great job in the backfield shutting down Carlyle's offense," Gregg said. "EZ Wright continues to play outstanding in the keeper position.

The soccer Bulldogs are back in action at 4:30 p.m. today, hosting Olney in the HHS Senior Day. Harrisburg then plays host Columbia at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Class A regional opener.
