Prep Girls Basketball: Bulldogs finish off LEMWC with fifth place trophy

Harrisburg outscored Eldorado 19-15 in the final eight minutes to beat Eldorado 52-46 for 5th place at the Lady Eagle Mid-Winter Classic.

Kailyn Moss had a game-high 16 points, shooting 6-for-9 from the field and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line, while Riley Harrison had 13 points and Chelsea Davidson chipped in with 11 points in the Bulldogs' win.

Sidney Neal finished with four points, while Frankie Leigh Nicholes tacked on three points. Kinzleigh Smothers and Kameron Adams each tacked on two points, while Vershay Guyton had a free throw.

Alexa Haenel had 11 points for Eldorado, while Adrianna Hendrix and Lilly Mosby each netted nine points. Kris Lane added eight points and Emilee Sigler finished with four points.

In the third place game, Fairfield knocked off Vienna 52-24, while Goreville knocked off Gallatin County 47-42 in the championship game.

<b>Harrisburg 44, Carmi-White County 28</b>

Harrisburg picked up a 44-28 win over Carmi-White County late last week at the Lady Eagle Mid-Winter Classic, behind a game-high 13 points from Sidney Neal.

Frankie Leigh Nicholes netted nine in the win, while Kailyn Moss added eight points. Riley Harrison scored six points for the Bulldogs, while Vershay Guyton, McKenzie Boyd, Chelsea Davidson and Keely Hines all scored two points.

<b>Gallatin County 49, Vienna 33</b>

Gallatin County forward Kenzie Russell had 20 points and Carly Foster tacked on 12 as the Hawks pulled out a 49-33 win over Vienna at the Lady Eagle Mid-Winter Classic.

Andrinna Blain netted 11 for the Hawks in the win, while Sidney Bickett flipped in four points and Baylee Nelson tossed in two points.

Macie Dalton led Vienna with 12 points, while Emmy Vinson added 11 for the Eagles. Shaylee Moore and Suhmer Daubert each finished with four points and Haylie Oliver had two points.
