The Eldorado girls' softball team picked up its first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Hamilton County Thursday afternoon.

The Eagles are now 1-1 in the Black Diamond Conference after scoring the lone run in the bottom half of the seventh inning when a Michaela Laswell single down the third place line scored Stephanie Oker, who was courtesy running for Jessica McGill.

The Eagles had eight hits on the day as Kelsea Newman and Cassidy Morris led the charge going 2-for-3 at the plate. Ashton Unthank, Jessica McGill, Mings, and Laswell all finished 1-for-3.

Laswell picked up the win on the mound, tossing a two-hitter, while striking our nine and walking just one over seven innings pitched.

The Eagles return to the diamond today (Friday) as they travel to Crab Orchard for a slated 4:30 p.m. game against the Trojans.
