39 test positive for COVID-19 in EHD service area

Egyptian Health Department was notified on Nov. 23, 2020, of 39 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for COVID-19.

The individuals include:

<b>Saline County</b>

Female: One in her teens, two in their 50s, three in their 60s, one in her 70s, two in their 80s

Male: Two in their 30s, two in their 40s, one in his 50s, two in their 60s, three in their 70s, one in his 80s

<b>Gallatin County</b>

Female: One in her 60s, one demographics unknown-case status in progress

<b>White County</b>

Female: Two in their 20s, two in their 40s, one in her 50s, two in their 60s, one in her 70s, two over the age of 100, one demographics unknown-case status in progress

Male: Two in their 40s, one in his 60s, two in their 70s, one in their 80s

Please note: a male, in his 40s, has been transferred to their local health department

To date, Saline County has had a total of 1,140 lab confirmed positives, including 24 deaths. Four of those deaths were announced over the weekend. EHD announced two of the deaths on Saturday, Nov. 21 and the other two on Sunday, Nov. 22.

White County has had a total of 586 lab-confirmed positives, including nine deaths.

Gallatin County has a total of 204 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including two deaths.
