Prep Baseball: Eagles snap losing streak, beat Gallatin Co.

Eldorado snapped a six-game losing streak, knocking off Gallatin County 8-1 Friday.

The Eagles (3-10) cranked out 10 hits on the day as Dylan Vaughn paced the EHS offense, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Parker Price and Anderson Woolcott both had multiple hit games as Woolcott drove in a co-game-high two runs and scored two runs. Price scored two runs as well, joining Trevor Milligan, who went 1-for-3.

Jake Phelps and Eli Ralson each had a hit, while Nic Stanford had two RBI on the day and Andrew Murray scored one run.

Gallatin County was held to just one hit on the afternoon as Trey Martin had a double, going 1-for-3.

Martin drove in Grant Jackson in the second inning.

Price picked up the win on the mound as the junior fanned 15 for the Eagles over six innings. Woolcott pitched one inning and Trevor Milligan saw action as well.

Darrin Newton took the loss for the Hawks, going 5.1 innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on six hits, while striking out six and walking three.

Jackson worked 0.2 inning of relief, allowing four runs on four hit with a strikeout and Jake Colbert saw mound time as well.

Eldorado is scheduled to host Flora Tuesday and then travel to play the Wolves on Thursday.
