A fourth quarter rally allowed Eldorado to get by Gallatin County 47-40 Tuesday night in out of conference action.

Gallatin County rebounded from a 10-7 first quarter deficit to knot the game at 17-all at halftime and the Hawks held a 32-30 lead after three quarters, but Eldorado outscored GCHS 17-8 in the final eight minutes for the seven point victory.

The Eagles put three players in double figures as Emma Wargel had a co-game-high 14 points, while Paige Munds added 11 and Lilly Mosby tacked on 10 points.

Lexie Mitchell and Karis Lane each scored six points for the Eagles (5-1).

Gallatin County (4-5) was led in scoring by 14 points from Audrey Jackson, while Carly Foster tossed in 11 points and McKenzie Russell also finished in double digits with 10 points.

Molly Newton tossed in three points and Hallie Zirkelbach tacked on two points.

Harrisburg 50,West Frankfort 23

Harrisburg held West Frankfort to 14 second half points in a 5-23 victory to open up Southern Illinois River-To-River Conference Ohio Division play Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs (7-0) put three players in double figures as Lauryn Gribble had a team-high 11 points, while Lydia Miller and Summer Sanders both tossed in 10 points.

Essence Sanders netted nine points for Harrisburg, while Lauren McDaniel scored six points. Lexi Williams and Stream Black both knocked down two points.

Harrisburg shot 33 percent from the field, while going 11-for-19 at the free throw line. West Frankfort, who was led in scoring by Lexi McLaren's 12 points, was held to 22 percent from the field as the Redbirds shot 7-for-31 and were 9-for-17 from the free throw line.

Galatia-Thompsonville 53, Hardin County 31

Galatia-Thompsonville put two players in double figures as the Bearcats beat Hardin County 53-31 Tuesday night.

Kate Bond had 21 points, while Jaedyn Beers recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds in the win for G-T (4-0, 1-0 Greater Egyptian Conference).

Bridget Taylor added eight points for the Bearcats, while Chloe Mays scored six points, Kayleigh Brantley finished with four points and Avery Evans tossed in two points..

Last week, G-T won its own Thanksgiving Tournament beating Elverado (55-45), Century (49-39) and Pope County (53-43), where Bond and Beers were both named to the All-Tournament Team.

G-T will travel to Pope County Thursday night for another GEC game.
