Eagles win fourth straight Vienna Classic

Eldorado won its 23rd straight game Saturday night en route to a fourth straight Vienna Classic championship under head coach Josh Bradley as the Eagles bounced Meridian 82-64.

Aiden Whitlock had a game-high 29 points and the EHS junior forward was joined in double figures by Ladayyea Shewmaker with 12 points.

Both Whitlock and Shewmaker made the All-Tournament Team.

Eldorado jumped out to a 19-10 first quarter lead and held a 40-29 lead going into the locker room. EHS outscored Meridian 24-15 in the third quarter as the Eagles held a 20-point, 66-44 lead going into the final eight minutes.

Bryant Byrd and Noah Smith just missed double figure scoring for Eldorado as both had nine points a piece. Hunter Sizemore added eight points, while Parker Price scored seven points. Nolan Milligan chipped in with six points, while Nolan Henson had two points.

Roderick Gatewood dumped in 26 points for the Bobcats, while Zion Bartlett also had double digits with 17 points.

<b>Eldorado 64, Carrier Mills-Stonefort 32</b>

Eldorado put three players in double figures in a 64-32 win over Carrier Mills-Stonefort Saturday afternoon at the Vienna Classic.

Whitlock led all scorers with a game-high 17 points, while Milligan flipped in 14 points and Shewmaker tacked on 10 points.

Sizemore just missed out on double figure scoring as he netted nine in the win for EHS, while Henson and Will Bethel finished with five points. Smith and Parker Price both had two points.

Colton Mitchell led Carrier Mills-Stonefort with five points, while DeAndre Moss, Aidan Rollins, Nathaniel Reed and Jeremy Choat all finished with four points.

Caden Van Meter, Colton Betz and Sotte Godsey all tacked on three points, while Brandon Hampleton tossed in two points.

Eldorado opened up with a 15-7 first quarter advantage and led 26-14 at the break. The Eagles outscored CMSF 17-6 in the third quarter to take a 43-20 lead into the final eight minutes of action.

<b>Eldorado 53, Vienna 25</b>

Shewmaker led Eldorado in scoring with 16 points as the Eagles cruised to a 53-25 win over Vienna Wednesday night at the Vienna Classic.

Whitlock also finished in double figures, tacking on 11 points, while Byrd and Milligan each scored seven points for the Eagles. Sizemore chipped in with six points, while Smith finished with four points and Henson had two points.

Vienna's Lane Ross led all scorers with 12 points.

Eldorado jumped out to a 14-6 first quarter lead and led 24-10 at halftime. The Eagles outscored Vienna 13-7 in the third quarter to take a 37-17 lead into the game's final eight minutes.
