Harrisburg girls finish middle of pack at Marion Invite; EHS boys win triangular

The Harrisburg girls' golf team finished in the middle of the pack at the 8-team Lady Cat Invite Wednesday at Kokopelli Golf Course in Marion.

Harrisburg, who finished fourth, shot a 415 and finished behind Marion (353), Massac County (365) and Hamilton County (403). The Bulldogs finished ahead of Pinckneyville (417), Carbondale (432), Carterville (449) and West Frankfort (505).

Hamilton County's Kylee Vaughan took medalist honors, shooting a 70, while Harrisburg was led by Madison McClusky's 96. Gabby Adams wasn't too far behind with a 98, while Gracie Behnke fired a 105 and Madeleine DeNeal added a 116 and Ann Marie Podoriscki shot a 141.

<b>Harrisburg girls finish second in triangular</b>

Hamilton County's Kylee Vaughn took medalist honors with a 36 and led the Foxes (188) to a triangular win over Harrisburg (200) and Goreville (259) Tuesday at Shawnee Hills Country Club in Harrisburg.

Harrisburg's Madison McClusky carded a 43 for the Bulldogs, while Gabby Adams fired a 49. Gracie Behnke added a 51 and Laken Moore brought in a 57 for the top four scores. The Bulldogs got a 64 from Madeleine DeNeal and Anna Marie Podoriscki had to withdraw.

<b>Eldorado wins Triangular</b>

The Eldorado boys' golf team got a pair of 38's from Evan Coyle and Noah Smith to lead Eldorado (168) to a triangular win over Carmi (175) and Vienna (187) Wednesday at Saline County Country Club.

In addition to Coyle and Smith, Eldorado's Braden Unthank fired a 42, while Kaiden Lloyd rounded out the top-four scoring with a 51. Austin Willis carded a 50 and A.J. Hankins finished with a 55.
