Johnston City 8, Eldorado 6

Eldorado's rally came up short in an 8-6 loss to Johnston City in Black Diamond Conference play Tuesday.

JC scored two runs in the first and second inning to take a 4-0 lead, but Eldorado countered with two runs of its own in the top of the third to cut the deficit in half. The Indians then tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the third to lead 6-2, while Eldorado put up three runs in the top of the fourth, but JC closed out the game with a run in the fourth and fifth inning, while Eldorado could only muster one more run in the top of the fifth.

"We didn't play our best game, but managed to stay in the game until the end," EHS head coach Rick Dempsey said. "Johnston City pitching did a good job keeping our bats cooled. We managed good contact on the ball, but right at them."
