Eagles swept by Thompsonville, host Cardinals at NCOE Tournament

On the second and final day at the Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Tournament, Eldorado fell victim to Thomsponville and NCOE in a pair of sweeps.

Thompsonville won 25-22 and 27-25, while the host Cardinals won 25-16 and 25-16.

EHS head coach Lisa Craig said her team played well Thursday night and she felt her defense was really good.

In addition, Eldorado's Jade His was selected to the All-Tournament Team.

Emma Wargel had 22 spikes and three kills, while Briley Lenkaitis had 17 spikes and four kills. Kenzie Sizemore finished with 15 spikes.

Lexie Mitchell led the Eagles in digs, finishing with 21 and served very well missing only one during the Thompsonville game.

Against NCOE, Craig pointed to the Eagles' unforced turnovers as a cause for the loss.

Lenkaitis and Wargel led the team in spikes, while Kianna Roberts and Mitchell led the team in digs. Lauryn Hampton led the Eagles in serves.

Eldorado is scheduled to play at Carrier Mills Saturday.
