Harrisburg runs away from Fairfield at Lady Eagles Mid-Winter Classic

ELDORADO -- Matty Hawkins was one of three Harrisburg players to score in double figures as the Bulldogs took care of Fairfield 66-37 Tuesday night at the Lady Eagle Mid-Winter Classic in Eldorado.

Hawkins had a game-high 17 points, while Jessica Hopson scored 16 and Karsyn Davis tacked on 10 in the win.

Lotte Miller netted nine for the Bulldogs, while Brooke Meylor finished with five points. Essence Sanders tacked on two points, while Madeline Rider tossed in a free throw.

The Mules had two players reach double figures.

Harrisburg is now 21-0 on the season and will to action at the Lady Eagle Mid-Winter Classic Thursday against Gallatin County at 6:30 p.m. The tournament concludes on Saturday.

Earlier in the night Tuesday, Vienna knocked off Goreville 66-57.
