Alumni Corner: Amaya leads UIS with 12 points off bench
<b>Tyra Buss - Indiana (Mt. Carmel HS)<b/>
Buss paced IU with a double-double in Monday night's 64-61 loss to Chattanooga in Bloomington.
Buss led all scorers with 17 points and dished out 10 dimes for her ninth career double-double. Buss now has 1,691 points for the Hoosiers in her stellar four-year career.
<b>Tyler Smithpeters - SIU (Harrisburg HS)<b/>
Smithpeters came off the bench, logging 17 minutes in the Salukis' 84-42 loss at Louisville Tuesday night. The Harrisburg product was held scoreless, going 0-3 from the field, grabbing one rebound (defensive) and handed out two assists.
<b>Justin Carpenter - SEMO (Mt. Carmel HS)<b/>
Carpenter played 13 minutes and scored nine points as SEMO knocked off Cal State Northridge Tuesday night in Cancun Mexico at the Cancun Challenge. Carpenter was 4-of-5 from the field and 1-of-1 from 3-point range. The Redhawk freshman pulled down five rebounds (three defensive) and finished with one block and one turnover.
<b>Bahari Amaya - Illinois-Springfield (Harrisburg HS)<b/>
Amaya went 4-for-4 from the field and scored nine points in 12 minutes of action as the Stars knocked off Robert Morris University 104-47 Tuesday night. Amaya finished with two rebounds (defense) and had three assists and one steal.
