Prep Bowling: Harrisburg picks up win over Carterville

The Harrisburg High School boys' bowling team picked up a 2551-2345 win over Carterville Wednesday night at Ross Cottom Lanes.

Junior Brenden Mitchell led the Bulldogs with a solid 656 series, followed by sophomore Sebastian Barton at 574.

"We took the opportunity to play a lot of new kids in the varsity match so our total score was pretty good," HHS head coach Doug Cottom said. "Brendan continues to throw it real well, he always has the ball in play, which means he only shoots at simple spares. Sebastian and Brody Irvin are performing nicely for us."

The Bulldog boys take a long break until December 1st at Marion, while the girls will open their season at Collinsville on the 25th of this month.
