Harrisburg's own Britt Pavelonis finishes 17th at Irvin Cobb Championship

It wasn't the finish he was hoping for, but Harrisburg's Britt Pavelonis takes zero issue in the hour-plus drive back to Saline County after a Top 20 showing at the Irvin Cobb Championship at Paxton Park in Paducah over the weekend.

Pavelonis, who shot a 74 Saturday and back it up with a 70 for a 144 total finished in a tie for 17th.

Pavelonis' good friend and playing partner Saturday, Rick Cochran III won the event with a 134.

Pavelonis' older brother, Bobby finished 32nd overall and Johnston City's Jan Jansco was 34th. Benton's Andrew Mitchell, had the best local finish as he finished tied for 14th with a pair of 71's.
