Baseball: Harrisburg splits on ball diamond

Harrisburg out hit Hamilton County 10-7, but the Foxes plated a run in the bottom of the sixth inning to win 6-5 over the Bulldogs late last week.<br />At the plate, Carson Burtis went 3-for-4 at the plate with a run scored, while Isaac Crabb went 2-for-2. Noah Mayer was 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Will Holland, Presley Gauch and Raj Patel all had one hit. Patel drove in two runs, while Jack Martin had an RBI. Christian Williams scored two runs for the Bulldogs, while Jordan Gould, along with Gauch scored one run.<br />Harrisburg used four pitchers in the loss to Hamilton County as Cameron Wendler took the loss, Kent Cletcher, Noah Bebout and Crabb all saw mound time as well.On Thursday, <strong>Harrisburg rallied to beat Goreville 5-4 Thursday.</strong><br />Isaac Crabb worked two late innings, picking up the win on the mound for Harrisburg as they survived Goreville in eight innings Thursday.<br />Crabb struck out one coming on in relief of Christian Williams, who worked six innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on five hits, while striking out five and walking three.<br />Gauch, Burtis and Mayer all had multiple hits as Harrisburg had 12 hits on the day. <br />Jordan Gould went 1-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Will Holland was also 1-for-5. Dalton Lambert went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, while Crabb went 1-for-4 with an RBI. Jack Martin and Raj Patel both had on hit and each scored a run for the Bulldogs in the win.

<br /><strong>Hamilton County scores late to beat EHS</strong><br />Eldorado gave up two runs in the sixth inning and lost to Hamilton County 7-6 last Thursday night.<br />Braden Unthank picked up the loss, going 5.2 innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) on 12 hits, while striking out three and walking three.<br />At the plate, Eldorado had just four hits on the day as Unthank paced the Eagles going 2-for-2 driving in one run, while Ben Byrd and Payton Price had the other hits. Price had two RBI in the loss, while Jacob Traxler and Byrd each had one.<br />Kale Oglesby scored three runs, while Kolton Oglesby scored two. Max Kasiar had the other run scored for Eldorado.
