Softball: Bearcats upend WF

The Galatia-Thompsonville softball team knocked off West Frankfort 5-4 Thursday night.<br />The Bearcats scored one run in the first, third, fourth, fifth and sixth inning, holding off West Frankfort, who put up four runs in the third inning.<br />Dani Reynolds (9-4) picked up the win in the circle. She went the distance, allowing four runs on eight hits, while striking out two.<br />At the plate, Brittany Hutchison was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Hutchison scored in the first and third inning. Kennedy Harris was 1-for-2, crossing home plate in the fifth inning. Leah Davis was 1-for-2 with an RBI, while Katie Linsley was 1-for-3 with a run scored in the fourth inning. Emma Reagan scored a run in the sixth inning.<br />Galatia-Thompsonville is at Hardin County today (Friday) and then will host Hardin County and Webber Township in a double header at home Saturday, starting at 11 a.m.
