Bulldogs win three, edge Eldorado, take two from Du Quoin

A Dalton Lambert single in the sixth inning that scored Carson Burtis broke a scoreless game against Eldorado and proved to be the difference as the Bulldogs edged Eldorado 1-0 Friday.<br />Lambert and Christian Williams combined to throw a two-hitter for Harrisburg as Lambert got the start and went 2.1 innings, issuing one hit, while striking out five and walking one. Williams came on to go 4.2 innings, striking out eight to get the win.<br />Harrisburg had five hits on the day as Max Kasiar went the distance and suffered the tough luck loss. The senior right hander struck out eight and walked one.<br />Isaac Crabb and Lambert both had two hits on the day, while Burtis smacked the the other one.<br />Trey Vessel and Bryson Sigler had the two hits for Eldorado.<br />On Saturday, Harrisburg took two from Du Quoin, winning 10-0 and 3-2.<br />In the first game, the Bulldogs banged out 12 hits as Burtis went 3-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored. <br />Noah Mayer, Kent Cletcher and Lambert all had two hits. Mayer tacked on an RBI and had three runs scored, while Lambert and Cletcher had an RBI and run scored.<br />Presley Gauch, Will Holland and Crabb all had one hit. Gauch drove in two and scored two runs, while Crabb had an RBI and Holland scored one run. <br />On the mound, Lambert and Burtis combined to throw a three hitter as Lambert picked up the win, striking out three. Burtis went two innings, striking out two.<br />In game two, Jordan Gould went six strong innings on the bump to strike out nine and allow no earned runs on three hits, but Nolan Bebout worked a perfect seventh as Harrisburg scored three runs in the last two innings to come back to beat the Indians.<br />Mayer, Gauch, Lambert and Crabb all had one hit for Harrisburg (4-2). Gauch had an RBI, while Mayer, Lambert and Cameron Wendler all scored a run.<br />Harrisburg is slated to play Warren Township Tuesday at Rent One Park, starting at 6 p.m. and will return to Rent One Park Thursday to play Plainfield South at 3 p.m.<br /><strong>Gallatin County 14, Galatia 8</strong><br />On Friday, Garrett Rushing struck out four, picking up the win on the mound for Gallatin County who earned a 14-8 Greater Egyptian Conference win over Galatia.<br />Austin Stevens picked up the loss for Galatia, who has a team, had 10 hits on the day. <br />Braxton Lane went 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored. Cooper Patterson was 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored and Sean Mondino was 2-for-3. <br />Gallatin County's Aaron Walters was 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and Wyatt Downen was 2-for-5 with a home run.<br />Gallatin County is slated to play at Goreville today (Monday) and will host Pope County, Joppa and Hardin County on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
