Eagle baseball goes 1-1 over weekend

The EHS baseball team went 1-1 over the weekend, beating Mt. Carmel 8-7 and losing to Robinson 3-0.<br />Eldorado 8, Mt. Carmel 7<br />The Eagles pounded out 11 hits on the day as Payton Price went 3-for-5 on the day with two RBI and two runs scored. The senior added a stolen base on his day, while Braden Unthank, Trey Vessel and Bryson Sigler all had two hits.<br />Unthank, Vessel, and Sigler all scored one run, while Vessel and Sigler each provided RBI. Joe Mayberry went 1-for-3, but scored three runs and Max Kasiar had a hit as well.<br />On the bump, Ben Byrd and Unthank combined to toss a four-hitter. Byrd got the win, working 2.2 innings and allowing five runs (one earned) on one hit, while striking out two and walked five. Unthank went 6.1 innings and gave up two runs (one earned) on three hits, while striking out five and walking four.<br /><strong>Robinson 3, Eldorado 0</strong><br />Eagles had five hits on the day as Ben Byrd, Sigler, Jacob Traxler, Price and Kale Oglesby all had one hit. Price added a stolen base for EHS.<br />Kasiar took the loss on the mound as he went six innings and allowed one earned run on four hits, while striking out five and walking two.
