Saulsberry earns All-Conference honors

Harrisburg junior guard Isaiah Saulsberry earned All-Conference honors in the Southern Illinois River-to-River, Ohio Division as was announced by the conference Thursday morning.<br />Saulsberry, who was named Associated Press All-State Honorable Mention in Class 2A, averaged 19 points per game and helped lead the Bulldogs to a regional championship appearance this season. The junior went over the 1,000th point mark, finishing with 532 points and is now seventh on the school's all-time scoring list. Saulsberry was named to the Ernie Bozarth All-Tournament Team, Eldorado Holiday All Tournament Team and was named to the Carmi-White County All Tournament Team.<br />Saulsberry joined a trio of players from Benton including Timmy Henson, Derek Oxford and Austin Wills. <br />Oxford and Willis recently earned Associated Press Class 3A Honorable Mention honors.<br />Oxford Helped lead the Rangers to a 31-3 record before falling to Centralia in the Sectional Championship. Oxford averaged 13 points, four rebounds per game and 1.5 assist per game. Oxford scored 1589 career points at BCHS, which is fourth all-time. <br />Wills averaged 15 points per game and five rebounds per game. Willis made 90 3-pointers and was named All-Tournament at Goreville, Pinckneyville and Benton.<br />Murphysboro's Jarson Gaston and Jeremy House, along with, Massac County's Darian Roundtree and Isaiah Thompson also were named All-Conference. Rounding out the list was Herrin's Jake Downen and D.J.
